Something to sing about

Live/workers in Los Angeles have the chance to move into a piece of recording history. REthink Development has turned Cherokee Studios - where artists including Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Bob Dylan, David Bowie and Michael Jackson recorded - into a major new live/work project.

The five-storey development includes penthouses, lofts ranging from 1,000 to 2,000 square feet - some with 17-feet high ceilings - and nearly 3,000 square feet of retail space. The project has been designed and developed with the involvement of the studio's founder, Bruce Robb, and some units even offer professional recording facilities designed by him.

The development has been designed to achieve LEED Platinum certification and is 40 per cent more energy efficient than California's already stringent code for new buildings. REthink is calling it ‘The healthiest, most environmentally friendly live/work building in Los Angeles and California,' and ‘The only LEED Platinum building in the world with significant music and Hollywood history.'
